I WANT TO DRAW!
But I also want to play video games...
But I also want to work on my website...
Between all of these impulses I often find myself just doing whatever is most conveniant at the time. The BEST thing of all this is that I am not being idle because I work full time. So I can at least use the excuse of knowing that despite my unfulfilled urges I am stll being a productive member of Society.
So why is my appetite unsatiated?
Because I am used to being overencumbered. But now I am living a regular life now. With a single job and no school... Time to wind down? NO!
Ok so I need to find some inspriation for how i am going to "restructure" my website. Once I settle on a specific design I can begin research on the most effecient way to build it in Flash.
As far as drawing goes, I doodle every other day but I need to find something to really poor my time into. I know that when i get my site concept down I will have the luxury of doing art for the sites interface. But until then I guess I will just have to wait for the next thing to inspire me.
I usually get inspired from various things from games to television. I started watching an anime on Hulu when I am eaing in my room... I have the great need to request permission to re-write all the characters! I am appaulled at how cookie cut the all are! And I won't even begin to adress the excessive drama that often stunts a well develping story plot. I will refraim from mentioning this show as I am still forcing myself to watch it... I'm a maoschist apparently.
So I have been playing about 4 hours of WoW a week. Just causally questing while listening to my playlist on iTunes. I will say that there are times when I stop and write down an idea... which usually leads to a character in my head. I then "audition" the character for various stories I have made and either one of three things happen. I incoperate them into a story, encorporate their persoa into a previously existing character, or the get there own tale. :D
I will start playing Assains Cree: Brotherhood over the weekend. I have opted to not open the glorious box in my room until I can invest a few hours into its opening sequences. I really love the story Ubisoft has developed and hope to one day be able to produce something even greater int the future. Until then, I will continue to write when I am not drawing or playing.
Interesting, as I am blogging I have gotten the random craving to draw... I think I will act on that. Maybe I will post it... maybe

Busy Busy Busy...
I feel swamped! But in a good way. my website has under gone NO UPDATES since I last blogged. I would normally feel bad about this but I can confidently say that life has been keeping me on my toes. I have been working long days and may of my days have been consumed with work related press events, council members, superior court judges, and school administrations. I am not complaining. Do not get me wrong. Its been fun but I am trying to change jobs. Luckily after a series of interviews I am happy to report my first career opportunity in the Entertainment Industry. More specifically, I got a job working on a popular television cartoon... which I will not name :P My schedule should be opening up now that I am in transition and I should be able to return to working on my site.
But after some thinking, I feel I need to refine my overall website theme. I like where I was going but I am not satisfied with my designs. I feel that my theme is not prominent enough to be noticeable. With that it is back to the drawing board. What's funny is that after getting a "dream job" I feel less dependent on my website for success in my career field. BUT I still would like to do one, and I am. I really can't wait until I get to that point of SATISFACTION!
Until next time, kiddies!

One page down...
So it has been a week and I am down one page! This meaning I have been through the torturous learning curve to assimilate the worlds of action scripting and movie clip symbols. It was an exciting adventure and one that I will cherish. I have been through so much I feel like a master at it but I know I have so much more to deal with. I may be a little ambitious with my 1st website but like they say "Go big or Go home". Which is interesting because I have been working on my Homepage. It seemed like a logical place for me to start as I refined my theme for the site
while working on it.
I must say that Flash is an AWESOME program! Thank you Adobe! But I really can't wait to get into Dreamweaver and add CSS styles to all of my pages. This is so exciting! Although I am working alone I am not having a problem staying motivated. I am a little weary that the mandatory events of the week will slow down my progress but I can't live in my studio all day lol (... sadness). I also got some really good inspirations for more artwork. And I do mean really good!!! I feel that once I finish my site and go through some more work I will return to my film in Maya and do some effects and rendering!
I really love being able to do what I want for once. The thing about school is that everything becomes an assignment at times and you find a lot of the would-be fun becoming stress. Don't get me wrong, I loved being an animation student and I enjoyed 90% of the assignments but they were restrictive and structured at times to a point where I could not fully explore my interest. And it should be that way. It is the basic principles that have enabled me to grow the way I have. And quite frankly I am impressed with how much have actually learned in school and its current application to my projects now. Plus after having so many bottled up ambitions throughout my educational career, it is only logical that I come out exploding!
Life is good! And being an artist is awesome!

Ressurection!
So it has almost been a year... a very art intensive year. I have been working on stuff every week and now that I have gained a substantial amount of freedom, I can focus on doing things MY WAY!
So the fantasizing is over. I am going to start my own web page and I am very existed to see what I can do. Many things have been suggested to me and I think I will use both Adobe products, Dreamweaver CS4 and Flash CS4! I have finally cracked these puppies open and am ready to get going on this site. I have a lot to learn but I think it is work it. I'm on to the next level! I have all my domain and hosting taken care of so here is the spaced parked for Mellenium Studios. The next stop: Design the home page!
... More updates to come. I promise (fingers crossed ;) )
